Does anyone know if the after market has picked up this idea?
« on: October 13, 2009, 12:51:28 AM »
Hey all I was at a mustang meet this weekend and came across a 1996 gt that had a Ford Racing parts supercharger on it. I will try to put the pick in here to show it to ya, but its not like normal chargers, this one mounts under the intake in the valley. If you didn't know what you were looking at or just quickly glanced at the car, you wouldn't even notice it was there.
Anyhow after talking to the owner for a bit he told me that Ford only produced this kit for about two years and then deleted it. I guess there is only a handfull of them out there. Well I thought all you would find this as interesting and cool looking as I did... He claims it added about 65hp and about 70 foot pounds

Yeah powder, it was up near casselberry. Mid Florida Mustang Club. Was a good time, with a good variety of stangs. I was pretty surprized how many sn95's there were. There having another meet this saturday up in orange city. On a side note if you like awsome shows.. check out www.festivalsofspeed.com Sunday there having a kick arse show up near sea world.. all high end cars.. (bugatti, masaratti and so on)

97v6..... Look next to the alternator and you will see the pully for the supercharger.  I like the whole stealth sleeper look of this. Not to mention its self contained..(you don't need to tap into the oil pan for an oil source) Not to mention it gets away from the whole composite intake...

Well first I need/want to get it lowered with new shocks n struts all around.. (the rear is terribly soft and the front is higher than the rear if you remember) after that prob just some bolt ons including sub frame connectors and so on.. Eventually gonna ship it back home to Ohio and have it repainted. Was wanting to do that  around spring.
I do have to say the first on my list is getting the suspension tightened up.. then gonna build from there.

Yea that's pretty much how I started, I used my graduation money a little over $900 to do the suspension on my car.
