Color Combos?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to get yalls opinion on what color i should maybe paint my 95 GT when i get it painted this summer.

Its in need of a paint job, the previous owner didnt treat my car the way I intend to.
I have to get some parts for it, a new fender and the front part of the drivers side, side skirt.

The original color which is whats mostly on the car is a Dark Satin Green, but I am not sure if I want to go with that.
I was thinking maybe a sapphire blue would look amazing.

but i dont have much experience with the whole color matching thing, and my cars interior is black and tan.

Any suggestsions on what colors might look good with that interior combo?

the Rio Red paint and back and tan interior isn't so bad together. That's what mine is now. One of my other favorite mustang color is Sonic Blue but im not sure how well it go's with back and tan. But then again you could always change the interior color to all black!

I was thinking about an all black interior if I could find the leather seats. I really was, but wouldnt it be epically hard to change the airbag cover?

I don't think it would be hard, i hear that there is just two screws holding the airbag to the cover. and I believe just two screws on either side of the steering wheel. Just have to remember to disconnect the battery and wait for 10mins or longer to make sure the airbag power supply drains completely.

Yeah you can paint them, just you have to get anal about the prep for the paint! Make sure it is uber clean!

on a side note... I've been debating to paint mine for a while. Just haven't done it because I just haven't found time to do it.

oh TRUST ME, i will haha. I LOVEEEE my truck, and im gonna be even more anal and picky about the mustang. I Im a stickler for taking care of a vehicle. I know what you mean, as we speak, im trying to figure out when i will have time to do something like this, i appreciate the tips though.  so if i get the black interior, whats the diff between sonic blue and sapphire blue?

No problem. Sonic blue is darker then the sapphire blue, to me it's like a pearlescent paint cuz in some light it kind of has a purple color to it. This cobra is sonic blue:

That is a gorgeous color.

That would look great on my 95 bodystyle. hmmmm, i got to round up the funds to start changing that interior haha.

How much is it to lower one of these things?

It depends on how you want to lower it. You could just go with some lowering spring or coil overs, or a combo of the two. Which I have a combo, with Coil overs in the front and just spring in the back. If you go with spring all around it would be about 250 for the spring. and I would recommend some caster camber plates which run around 160 to 200 bucks. I would recommend the Maximum Motorsports CC plates. Than you would need a front end alignment after your lower.

so unless my math is horrible, which it sometimes is, im looking at what, 500-600 if i do coilover in front and spring in back then having it aligned?

If I were you I'd replace the struts and shocks while you're at it. I actually spent the money and bought the Maximum Motorsports launch box kit which had me re do all the suspension, basically, I just still need to is get a tubular k member and new arms then I'll be done   :
