95 Cobra Clone Build
« on: February 24, 2011, 08:04:55 AM »
some people find cloning to be offensive.  but if your anything like me....your broke!  when the car is done i will probibly have enough money in it to where i could have gone and bought a real cobra.  but....money spent over a long period is a lot different than money spent all at once.  when people ask i always tell them that its just a mustang.  not a cobra...not a gt.  just a mustang with a cobra bumper and emblems. ;)

Anyways....here we go!!!

Day one...delivery day

the wheels have change in these pics.  the guy told me if i let him keep his wheels he will give me 2 world class t5 with bellhousings and shifters....i took the deal.

started messing with the interior and started some body work.  i originally was going to paint it a copperhead orange metallic.  i later changed my mind.

went to a swap meet and found this bumper.  i got a really good deal on it too.

Looks like an awesome build man, can't wait to see the progress it's going to make. Don't worry about the fobra thing, it's your car it should look how you want it to!

this is when i primed the car. i first long blocked the entire car with 80 grit sandpaper. then i switch to 180 grit.  then i sprayed on the primer. after is was cured i reblocked  it with 180. sprayed 2 more coats of primer.  blocked the car again with 180 then 240 then 400 wet.

after 400 wet
