Hi all, I just purchased a 1994 GT Convertible as my latest project and hope to share info with you as it goes. Right now it is COMPLETELY stock down to the air cleaner and my mods will be within driveability, reliability, and unfortunate emmission requirements. I'm located at approximately 6900ft in elevation which leaves performance from the stock 5.0/ 5 speed, alot to be desired thats for sure!. But gas mileage is fantastic (21-25). My plans are mostly asthetic (mint out body and interior) but I would like to pull more than 4500 rpm (5500?) and do it a little faster. When time comes, blueprinting/balancing stock internals with cleaned up gt40's and a freeer flowing exhaust should do the trick for me. Pretty boring stuff I know, but with the current emmissions in place, I don't need the hastles. Gears will help some and a 3.55 sounds better than the 3.08, and won't kill economy too much. My background is in restoration and a little machine shop experience as well as 35 years of wrench turning. My first Mustang was a 1970 Mach1, 351 Cleveland 4V, 4 speed, that kicked but on alot of Friday nights growing up in Seattle. It was amazing how much $1200 would buy you in 1977. It was dark metallic green just like this 1994. I have also had a I996 GT (guess what color? dark green metallic) that was great for 150K. I will be changing the tan top to black, and with the black Bullit 5 spokes I just bought, should do it for me. I have a decent set of tri bars for cheap if anyone is interested. I'm starting to ramble on so I will go for now. Thanks.
