New to the site and already I need help.
« on: January 18, 2012, 08:35:28 PM »
Okay I have a 94 Gt, I can't get the thing started. A month ago the battery was dying so i took it to get it to be tested and yes it was very low. I decided to but a new... Duralast... Autozone special!

Put the batt in and nothing.
took the batt back...Fully charged.

So i thought the starter. took it to get tested bad stater.
got a new one bolted in and still nothing.
recheck the starter and it good to go.

When I put the keys in the car I have radio, lights, horn. When i go to turn the car over noting happens except check engine light and battery light. The starter does not click.

any thoughts? please someone help before I go get a Camaro!

First of all Welcome!

Second, do your lights go out when you try to start the car? Are all your connections clean and tight?

lights are strong. I checked and double checked the nuts and bolt, did you cleaning, and still nothing. The alternater was replaced about a year ago.

Can it be my coil pack?

It could be the coil, maybe the ignition module as well. Check all your connections though it's hard to visually spot a bad cable because they rot from the inside out.
